As 3D printers have gotten more affordable, an entirely new community has sprung up around the idea of designing, sharing and printing physical objects. Jarkko Moilanen of the Statistical Studies of Peer Production has completed the first EVER survey on the growing 3D printer community. Correction – the Journal of Peer Production is a separate group and not part of the Statistical Studies of Peer Production as stated in the video.
